Volleyball Preview: Classical Prep Lions vs. Pasco Pirates
After two games on the road, Classical Prep is heading back home. They will square off against the Pasco Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Coming off of a narrow one-set win over Bayshore Christian, Classical Prep left no doubt about the outcome versus Hudson on Wednesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cobras. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.
Classical Prep not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hudson between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The final set scores came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Pasco had just enough and edged out Zephyrhills 3-2 on Tuesday.
Pasco had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 12-25, 13-25, 25-10, 25-12, 15-13.
Classical Prep now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pasco, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
