Incarnate Word can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They skirted past the Langham Creek Lobos 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Shamrocks have posted since August 16th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Incarnate Word got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 23-25, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Veida Rodriguez and Elise DeLozier, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Lorena Gomez and her 20 assists. Ceci Trevino controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Incarnate Word's record now sits at 5-10. As for Langham Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Incarnate Word didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Rouse on the 23rd. As for Langham Creek, they will take on Cypress Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
