The Central City Value Jaguars can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus 40-38. The win was just what Central City Value needed coming off of a 62-42 loss in their prior contest.
Angel Marcial was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Central City Value's points. Another player making a difference was Bryan Gutierrez, who scored six points along with four steals.
Central City Value's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central City Value will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on USC-MAE at 2:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024. USC-MAE has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Animo De La Hoya at 2:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
