Basketball Recap: Eagle Takes a Loss

Eagle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meridian Warriors. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 65-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Eagle still got an impressive performance from Andrew Palferman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Palferman a new career-high in blocks (three). Lucas Kunz was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Eagle's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Meridian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle has already played their next contest (against Mountain View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Meridian has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Centennial.
