Williston had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bismarck Demons, sneaking past 8-6. That's two games straight that the Coyotes have won by exactly two runs.

Mekiah Klumker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kyah Stundal, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last eight contests. Another player making a difference was Alli Wilcox, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Williston's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Bismarck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Williston will venture away from home to take on Minot at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bismarck, they will head out to square off against Century at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Demons will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
