Volleyball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty had lost six straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 3-15 to make it seven. They lost 3-0 to the Champion Golden Flashes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Flashes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Tamia Lyons paced Liberty's offense, picking up five kills. Lyons got some help from Saffron Blank and her 11 assists.

As for Champion, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine matches and leaves them with a 3-16 record. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0).

Zoe Patelle went supernova, getting eight digs and four aces. What's more, she racked up 19 assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Liberty has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Southeast on the 7th. As for Champion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Windham on the 6th.
