It was fun while it lasted, but Chartiers Valley's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Tuesday. They fell to the Montour Spartans 66-60. The match marked the Colts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ama Tening Sow was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 20 rebounds for Montour. Sow is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Colton Straight, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chartiers Valley fell to 5-1. As for Montour, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Chartiers Valley and Moon Area will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chartiers Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Moon Area likes a good challenge. Montour will take on Blackhawk in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
