Soccer Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

Canyon was the 2-0 winner over Valencia when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Canyon Comanches fell just short of the Valencia Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The loss was the Comanches' first of the season.

Blake Hartfelder and Jacob Segovia scored both of Canyon's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Having lost for the first time this season, Canyon fell to 4-1-1. As for Valencia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canyon will take on Roosevelt in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canyon's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Valencia and El Dorado will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
