Football Recap: Temple Starts Season with Victory Against Mcnair + How To Watch

Temple gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 69-40 win over the McNair Mustangs. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-20.

Leading Temple to victory were Jaiden McDaniel and Brian Bowman. McDaniel rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, while Bowman rushed for 51 yards and a pair of scores. Those 51 rushing yards gave Bowman a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Temple was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards in 11 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Temple will host Clarkston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McNair, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
