Football Recap: Knippa Comes Up Short

Knippa lost against Runge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crushers took a hard 49-32 fall against the Yellowjackets. The Crushers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Runge to victory were Daniel Pantoja and Bradley Jones. Pantoja gained 74 total yards and a touchdown, while Jones rushed for 47 yards and one TD. Jones was even better on defense, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Knippa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Runge, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Knippa will challenge rival Benavides at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Runge is set to square off against their familiar foe Prairie Lea at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
