Baseball Game Preview: Brookville Blue Devils vs. Arcanum Trojans

The Brookville Blue Devils will square off against the Arcanum Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brookville is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Brookville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Oakwood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Lumberjacks by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since May 30, 2024.

Brookville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Horn, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Blake Sprada, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arcanum). They never let Mississinawa Valley get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won five in a row.

Brookville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Arcanum, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
