Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Monte Vista unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the James Logan Colts by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Kennedy Whyte paced Monte Vista's offense, picking up 13 kills. Whyte got some help from Diya Mathew and her 21 assists. Whyte was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Monte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for James Logan, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-6.

Monte Vista has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Redwood on the 11th. As for James Logan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Rocklin on the 11th.
