Football Recap: Skyview Takes a Loss

Skyview extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-7. They lost 32-8 to the Russell Rustlers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jaxon Zagata threw for 147 yards and one TD. Jackson Carter was his top target, picking up 67 receiving yards and one score.

As for Russell, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points over those games.

Russell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kane Mahlum out in front who rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Taylor, who rushed for 75 yards.

Coming up, Skyview will face off against Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Falcons will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Russell, they will challenge Great Falls at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
