While Minnechaug Regional put up some runs on Sunday, the same can't be said for Westfield. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Bombers. Considering the Falcons have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

Minnechaug Regional is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Westfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Minnechaug Regional will face off against Agawam at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Brownies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Westfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chicopee Comp at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Bombers are facing the Colts at the right time seeing as the Colts are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
