Baseball Recap: Tri-Valley Beats River View for Their Third Straight Win

Tri-Valley waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the River View Black Bears. The Scotties might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Draven Spinks looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brady Kaufman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Gavin Harrold was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

Tri-Valley's record now sits at 7-1. As for River View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tri-Valley will square off against rival Coshocton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, River View is set to challenge their familiar foe West Muskingum at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
