Handley has gone 7-2 against James Wood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Judges will square off against the Colonels at 7:00 p.m. Handley will be strutting in after a win while James Wood will be coming in after a loss.

Handley will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Sherando, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Judges came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 14-7 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Judges.

It was another big night for Jamir Washington, who rushed for 195 yards.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, James Wood's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to Liberty.

Handley will have to contain Owen Neal as he made an impact in James Wood's last game. He threw for 301 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. A healthy portion of Neal's aerial production (93 yards to be exact) went to Aidric Yurish.

James Wood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Handley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything came up roses for Handley against James Wood in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Judges since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
