Baseball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale suffered their closest loss since May 16, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Cuba City Cubans by a score of 5-3. The Chieftains were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cubans from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Bevyn Dennis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Riverdale dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cuba City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Riverdale will face off against Barneveld at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cuba City, they will square off against Fennimore at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
