Chatham Central's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Jordan-Matthews Jets 54-11. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 24 points or more this season.

Karaleigh Dodson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. She also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Chatham Central is 7-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 6-7 otherwise. Sydney Sellers was another key player, putting up six points along with eight boards and three steals.

Chatham Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Jordan-Matthews saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zuri Nava posted seven points and six rebounds. Those seven points gave Nava a new career-high.

Chatham Central pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points over those games. As for Jordan-Matthews, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

Chatham Central has already played their next match, a 55-29 victory against North Moore on the 14th. As for Jordan-Matthews, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 36-32 defeat against Graham on the 14th.
