Midlothian waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 53-43 win over the North Crowley Panthers. The victory was all the more spectacular given Midlothian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while North Crowley is ranked 14th).

Midlothian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JACOB ALMODOVAR, who went 5 of 12 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which ALMODOVAR has scored at least a third of Midlothian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Ross, who posted 13 points.

Midlothian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for North Crowley, they moved to 18-3 with that defeat, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.
