Basketball Preview: Pleasanton Eagles vs. Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls)

After two games on the road, Pleasanton is heading back home. They will take on the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pleasanton lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were the victim of a rough 52-28 defeat at the hands of Floresville. While losing is never fun, Pleasanton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 919th, while the Tigers are ranked 421st).

Even though Uvalde has not done well against the Wildcats recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Uvalde skirted past the Wildcats 54-51.

Pleasanton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-18 record this season. As for Uvalde, their win bumped their record up to 13-15.

Pleasanton lost to the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at home by a decisive 47-30 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Will Pleasanton have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
