Baseball Recap: Centerville Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Centerville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Garrison Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 on Friday. It was the first time this season that the Tigers let down their fans at home.

Centerville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Burleson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4-1. As for Garrison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Centerville beat Garrison by a score of 9-5 later that day.
