Softball Recap: Crivitz Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Crivitz proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 13) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Niagara Badgers 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Badgers: they've now won six in a row.

Isabelle Danielczak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Izzy Wesolowski, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Crivitz's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Niagara, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Crivitz will face off against Sturgeon Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clippers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.63 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Niagara, they will square off against Coleman at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
