Volleyball Game Preview: St. Bede Bruins vs. Putnam County Panthers + How To Watch

The St. Bede Bruins are taking a road trip to square off against the Putnam County Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, St. Bede came up short against Yorkville Christian and fell 2-0.

St. Bede was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Monday. Putnam County fell 2-0 to Gardner-South Wilmington.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Gardner-South Wilmington scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20.

Putnam County's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for St. Bede, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9-1.

St. Bede skirted past Putnam County 2-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
