Caldwell's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They escaped with a win against the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs by the margin of a single free throw, 41-40. For the Bluejays, this counts as revenge for the 58-12 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Caldwell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Risley, who went 7 of 14 en route to 16 points and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Risley has scored at least a third of Caldwell's points. Another player making a difference was Ava Newell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amity White, who went 5 for 12 to rack up 13 points and three steals. White is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleigh Vogl, who posted four points in addition to nine boards and four steals.

Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Pretty Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Caldwell has already played their next match, a 51-32 defeat against Cedar Vale/Dexter on the 4th. As for Pretty Prairie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-31 loss against Central Christian on the 7th.
