Basketball Recap: McNary Comes Up Short

McNary suffered their biggest loss since February 27, 2024 on Friday. They lost 63-42 to the Sprague Olympians. The defeat continues a trend for the Celtics in their matchups with the Olympians: they've now lost five in a row.

McNary's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Sprague, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

McNary and Sprague should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. McNary (ranked 34th) will meet North Salem (ranked 114th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Sprague will challenge South Salem at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 40 places (8 vs. 48).
