Baseball Recap: Lawrenceville School Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lawrenceville School's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Hamilton Hornets on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Big Red of the 8-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Lawrenceville School has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Hamilton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Coming up, Lawrenceville School will head out on the road to challenge Blair Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bucs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Big Red's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hamilton, they will square off against Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
