Volleyball Recap: Springtown's Undefeated Season over After 11 Games

Springtown lost against Mansfield back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Porcupines fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The matchup marked the Porcupines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Libby Tedder paced Springtown's offense, picking up 16 kills. Tedder got some help from Bailey Walker and her 13 assists. Brooklynn Quintanilla controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Mansfield to victory were Natalie Peak and Saydi Walker. Peak had 14 digs and three assists, while Walker had 11 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Peak has posted since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Springtown fell to 10-1. As for Mansfield, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springtown will square off against Holliday at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mansfield, they will take on Keller Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
