Soccer Recap: Monterey Has No Trouble Against Cedar Creek

Monterey had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Cedar Creek Eagles. Given the Plainsmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Eagles are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Monterey hit Cedar Creek with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from JT Tuttle (2), Miguel Robledo, Giovanni Cardenas, and Frankie Diaz.

Monterey has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Hendrickson on the 3rd. As for Cedar Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Salado on the 3rd.
