            The Hoover Cardinals are taking a road trip to  challenge the Lincoln Hornets  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Hoover will bounce into Tuesday's   matchup after  beating Kearny, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cardinals came out on top against the Komets on Tuesday by a score of  6-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Cardinals have posted  since March 25, 2024.
 Hoover saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jason Sanchez, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run.
 Meanwhile, Lincoln entered their tilt with High Tech SD on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Storm, sneaking past  8-6. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by  exactly two  runs.
 Lincoln's record is now 12-7. As for Hoover, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-18.
 Hoover suffered a grim  27-0 defeat to Lincoln  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Can the Cardinals avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
