Baseball Recap: Southern Wells Comes Up Short

If Southern Wells was feeling good fresh off their 23-3 takedown of Wes-Del last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell just short of the Mississinewa Indians by a score of 11-9 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost eight in a row.

Landon Johnson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Couch, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Southern Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Mississinewa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Southern Wells will head out to face off against Eastbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mississinewa, they will take on Norwell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
