Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Christian Comes Up Short

The Atlantic Christian Sharks came up short against the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs on Thursday and fell 3-1.

While Atlantic Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia found their leader in sophomore Sophia Bui, who had six digs and two aces. Bui is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Atlantic Christian dropped their record down to 12-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Atlantic Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Lake Worth Christian on the 16th. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Coconut Creek on the 14th.
