Basketball Recap: Russell Falls Despite Big Games from Norah Mooney and Kelvie Reeves

Russell lost against Pratt back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Russell Broncos took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pratt Greenbacks. That's two games in a row now that the Broncos have lost by exactly 12 points.

Despite the loss, Russell had strong showings from Kelvie Reeves, who went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and four steals, and Norah Mooney, who posted 13 points and three steals. That's the most points Reeves has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Birney, who put up nine points and three steals.

Russell is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Pratt, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Russell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-35 win against Norton on the 20th. As for Pratt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 40-21 victory against Great Bend on the 20th.
