Basketball Game Preview: Republic Tigers vs. Glendale Falcons

The Republic Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Glendale Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Republic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

Last Thursday, Republic blew past Central, posting a 68-15 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 437th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glendale might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 40-28 to Webb City, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Republic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Glendale, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Republic came up short against Glendale in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 52-43. Can Republic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
