Union and Ridgeview are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but not for long. The Bears will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Union is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 3-0 to Abingdon on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Ridgeview made easy work of J.I. Burton on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolfpack.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Ridgeview was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

Union might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Ridgeview in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
