Basketball Game Preview: Everton Tigers vs. Niangua Cardinals

Everton and Niangua are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Everton Tigers face off against the Niangua Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Everton is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, Everton was beaten by Bronaugh 76-41.

Despite the loss, Everton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Joshua Daniels dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards. That was a full 46.3% of Everton's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wylie Vigesaa, who earned six points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Niangua came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 43-37 W over Verona last Friday.

Niangua's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Everton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
