Soccer Recap: Berry Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Charlotte last Monday, Berry came back down to earth. Berry came up short against the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves on Tuesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Berry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Ballantyne Ridge are ranked 142nd).

Berry now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Ballantyne Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Berry will square off against Myers Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 10-1 win against Palisades on the 27th.
