Basketball Game Recap: Yazoo County Panthers vs. Amanda Elzy Panthers

The Yazoo County Panthers pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Amanda Elzy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Yazoo County in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

It was another big night for Jacoreyon Miller, who scored 28 points along with three steals for Amanda Elzy. Miller hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. Another player making a difference was Jeverion Glover, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Yazoo County's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Amanda Elzy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-9.

Yazoo County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Amanda Elzy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Humphreys County is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
