Basketball Game Preview: Nettleton Tigers vs. Myrtle Hawks + Official Tickets

Nettleton is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Myrtle a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Nettleton Tigers will be playing at home against the Myrtle Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Nettleton took on Amory on Tuesday. The Tigers were outmatched by the Panthers and fell 53-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Panthers since November 14, 2017.

Meanwhile, Myrtle didn't have quite enough to beat Hickory Flat on Thursday and fell 59-57.

Myrtle's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Nettleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Nettleton was able to grind out a solid victory over Myrtle when the teams last played back in November of 2020, winning 56-47. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Hawks' Kinsley Gordon, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 11 boards.
