Volleyball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Ellington Whippets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Whippets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Ariel West paced Greenville's offense, picking up four kills. West got some help from Poppy King and her four assists.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for Ellington, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3-1.

Looking ahead, Greenville will take on Doniphan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellington, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Valley on the 20th.
