Baseball Recap: O'connor Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Desert Vista

O'Connor faced Desert Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Thunder since on Friday.

O'Connor got a good showing from Matthew Del Carlo, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Del Carlo hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March.

On the hitting side, O'Connor saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abel Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
