Recap: Xenia Buccaneers vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils
This season hasn't been kind to the Xenia Buccaneers, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a serious blow against Tippecanoe on Tuesday, falling 79-43. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Xenia in their matchups with Tippecanoe: they've now lost eight in a row.
It was another big night for Jackson Smith, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds for Tippecanoe. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for Smith. Maddox Sivon was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists.
Xenia bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tippecanoe, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Xenia will be home for the holidays to greet Troy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Troy and Xenia are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Tippecanoe, they will head out on the road to face off against Stebbins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stebbins will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Tippecanoe is ranked 97th).
