Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ellah Oeser and Merceius Mili Lead Skyridge to Victory

Skyridge entered their tilt with American Fork on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the American Fork Cavemen by a score of 55-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Leading Skyridge to victory were Merceius Mili and Ellah Oeser. Mili went 10 of 15 on her way to 24 points, while Oeser posted 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. With that strong performance, Mili is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Bella Sika was another key player, putting up five points and seven boards.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Skyridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Skyridge's record is now 10-8. As for American Fork, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Skyridge will challenge Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Skyridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Westlake likes a good challenge. As for American Fork, they will take on Lehi at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. American Fork is facing Lehi at the right time seeing as Lehi is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
