Basketball Recap: Weber Falls to Springville in First Game of Season

Weber unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 81-57 to the Springville Red Devils on Wednesday. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-33.

Springville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Swift Hall, who went 12-for-18 en route to 27 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Those 27 points gave Hall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamyn Sondrup, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 15 boards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Weber will face off against Roy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springville, they will take on Lone Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
