Football Recap: Wallington Panthers vs. Park Ridge Owls
Friday just wasn't the day for Wallington's offense. They were dealt a 34-0 defeat at the hands of the Park Ridge Owls on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Owls: they've now lost five in a row.
Park Ridge found their leader in underclassman Patrick Randolph, who rushed for 207 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Randolph really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Shahinian, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Wallington now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Park Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wallington will square off against Wood-Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Park Ridge, they will take on Bogota on Friday.
