Soccer Game Preview: El Diamante vs. Redwood

El Diamante is 2-8 against Redwood since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The El Diamante Miners will venture away from home to take on the Redwood Rangers at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

El Diamante came up short against Porterville on Wednesday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Miners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 629th, while the Panthers are ranked 195th).

Meanwhile, Redwood didn't have quite enough to beat Golden West on Wednesday and fell 2-1. The Rangers haven't had much luck with the Trailblazers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
