Baseball Recap: Clayton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Clayton can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pitman Panthers by a score of 9-4. This was a revenge game for the Clippers: when they faced off against the Panthers back in March, they had to take a 16-0 loss.

Jameson Emerle was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Jaiden Keller also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Clayton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-9. As for Pitman, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clayton will welcome Pleasantville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pitman, they will be playing at home against Gateway Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
