Volleyball Recap: Hempstead Triumphs

Hempstead had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past the Galena Pirates 2-1.

Hempstead's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Galena, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hempstead will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cedar Falls at 7:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Galena, they will challenge River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
