Baseball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

The Northwestern Bulls lost 13-3 to the Downtown Doral Dolphins on Thursday.

Northwestern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was L. Diaz, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Diaz is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Northwestern now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Downtown Doral, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

The future could be bright for both Northwestern and Downtown Doral: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Northwestern will try to hand Homestead their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 3:30 p.m. on February 27th. Northwestern has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Similarly, Downtown Doral will look to extend North Miami Beach's four-game losing streak when they meet at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
