Softball Recap: Syracuse Has No Trouble Against Farmington

Syracuse barely beat Farmington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Phoenix on Tuesday. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Jazmine Prathan was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Thomas, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

Syracuse always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Syracuse and bumps their season record up to 10-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Farmington, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Syracuse will take on Roy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Farmington, they will square off against Layton at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
