Volleyball Recap: Newport Harbor Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Lone Peak

Newport Harbor is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Lone Peak. The Sailors fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1.

Lone Peak can attribute much of their success to Nevaeh Tien, who had 12 assists and six digs.

Newport Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Lone Peak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Newport Harbor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Los Alamitos on the 20th. As for Lone Peak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Corner Canyon on the 20th.
